Cisco Unified Communications Engineer
The ideal candidate will be responsible for pre-sales and post-sales technical support on Cisco Unified Communications solutions. The engineer will have complete accountability for the associated deliverables and technical integrity of any given customer solution.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with the Account Management team in all stages of Unified Communications Projects
- Participate in sales presentations in a technical role
- Design Unified Communications solutions as they relate to features, services, and applications including Contact Center Express
- Analyze and document client business and technical requirements
- Provide input and support for the proposal creation process
- Develop detailed BOMs for product and SOWs for professional services
- Earn Cisco certifications necessary for company specialization requirements
- Implement Cisco unified communications and data solutions.
- Support existing client base of Cisco Unified Communications deployments
- Provide technical advice to project team members, customers, and sales executives
- Experience with the design, implementation and operation of Cisco Unified Communications product family, including CUCM, CUCME, Unity, Unity Connection, and UCCX
- Knowledge of call centers, PBXs, and voicemail with practical experience in the design and implementation
- Strong knowledge of VoIP protocols and technologies such as SIP, H323, Skinny, RTP, QoS, SRST, MGCP
- Strong knowledge of Network protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP, OSPF, STP, FHRP
- Analyze and document client requirements
Education and Experience:
- Post Secondary education in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and experience
- Cisco Certified (CCIE Voice, CCVP, CCNP, CCDP)
- Cisco Unified Contact Center Enterprise/Express experience preferred
- Cisco ASA experience is an asset
- 5+ years of experience in technical pre/post sales for a networking, consulting, or telecommunications organization.
- 5+ years of experience with the design, implementation and operation of Cisco Unified Communications products
Communication and Other Skills:
- Good interpersonal and must be fluent in English
- Self motivated individual with energy, initiative, and a very proactive approach to his/her work
- Must be able to work independently and within a team environment
- Must be able to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies
- Must be methodical and possess good troubleshooting skills
- Must be flexible to provide support outside of normal working hours
